Carpe Deodorant Reviews: The skin treatment start-up Carpe has launched a new antiperspirant underarm today to provide over-the-counter relief for excessive sweating. Carpe’s underarm antiperspirant has been shown to minimize sweat twice as effectively as the US legal norm for extra-strength antiperspirants; while federal law requires an additional strength antiperspirant to display a sweat reduction of at least 30 percent, Carpe’s clinical data has shown a median reduction of over 60 percent.
The new product is aimed at customers who need additional sweat protection that current brands do not provide, including approximately 15 million Americans suffering from hyperhidrosis, a chronic disease of the skin that is characterized by constant sweating.
While symptoms can occur in men and women of all ages, excessive sweating is especially prevalent among adolescents. Roughly 17 percent of adolescents experience clinically unnecessary sweating, according to the 2017 annual meeting of the American Academy of Dermatology.
